My hands—once steady—jerk with each heartbeat. My vision flares in electric white. In the quiet hours, I wake to my own howl… though I thought that was his voice.

The subject binds. It spreads. It becomes.

Perhaps this was never just an experiment.
Perhaps I am its host.
